1. Paste the contents of the original SRT file in the textarea below
2. Decide how you want to change your SRT file
There are two alternative conversions
(sometimes you need to do both; in that case use the result
of the first conversion as the original for the second conversion):
a) Advance/delay the subs
Use this method if the first text in the subs appears at the wrong moment.
Write in the Action-field first "s" (for seconds)
and then how many seconds you want to change the subs
(negative for advancing and positive for delaying, e.g. "s-3,5" or "s7").
Then click the Convert-button and the new SRT will show in the other textarea.
Finally copy the text of the new SRT to notepad or other text editor and save the file with an .srt -extension.
b) Shrink/Expand the subs
Use this if the first text in the subs appears at the right moment (use the Advance/delay -method to achieve this)
but the rest is appearing ever more too early or too late.
Write in the Action-field first "%"
and then how many percent you want to change the rate of subs
(less than 100 for shrinking and more than 100 for expanding, e.g. "%95,904" for converting 23.976 to 25.000 or "%104,27094" for
converting 25.000 to 23.976).
Then click the Convert-button and the new SRT will show in the other textarea.
Finally copy the text of the new SRT to notepad or other text editor and save the file with an .srt -extension.
3. Now just do it
Action (Advance/Delay/Shrink/Expand):
(some popular choices are and
but you can write whatever percentage you like)
NOTE:Do only one conversion at a time. First make the first sub appear at the correct time and then shrink or expand the sub times.
(Also remember: garbage in, garbage out... This program will not check the validity of the original SRT.
If it is not valid, the result will be equally invalid or even empty.)
